I hate not being able to fall asleep. I prefer being productive or being asleep. One night after a performance with Patriot Players I started losing my mind, tossing and turning, so I grabbed my computer from its charging station and decided to be productive. That night I designed the Toy Story Mania ride vehicle from the Disney Parks. Using googled photos I drafted a scale model using illustrator and CAD. By the next morning I had no sleep, a two show day ahead, and a few CAD files that would change my life.

And it just so happened that at the time of this all nighter I had a trip to Disneyland fast approaching. With less than two weeks I decided I needed to get these CAD files printed, painted, detailed, and airplane safe, so I could take my miniature ride vehicle to the actual ride vehicle.

The weeks flew by and suddenly it was December 25, 2023. I had my ride car at the entrance of my ride. I presented the vehicle to a ride attendant to get their reaction and thats when things got amazing. The cast member escorted me to a back entrance, brought my exact ride vehicle to me, and stopped the ride so I could get a flick with my model and the real thing. It was like everything in the world was perfect. I was so happy. I was so grateful. I was so ready for the next adventure!

This day changed my life, sending me on the entertainment engineering path I’m on today…
