The jungle Cruise is one of my favorite Disney rides. I love the history, the beauty, and most of all the comedy. This ride has always held a very special place in my heart and I knew I needed to engineer something to show my love. The opportunity came while I was shopping on Etsy. I saw a creator making wooden ride maps and I knew this would be the perfect project for my engineering course. The engineering class project required a multi-leveled wooden art piece, with inlays, overlays, and laser engravings. As usual I took this to extremes making two jungle cruise ride maps featuring engraving, staining, inlays and overlays of course, and foliage.
